At Stellantis, the Concept Data Development (CDD) group creates digitally all vehicle customer show surfaces on both interiors and exteriors, from concept to production. Digital modeling development is based in Catia 3D Experience but CDD has been expanding their software expertise to include Alias for advanced work in all areas. We are looking for talented digital modelers, able to conceptualize sketches and/or match digital, working closely with the Product Design Office (PDO) design staff daily. A broad understanding of the vehicle architecture in terms of knowing what is behind the surface and the requirements that drive design is preferred. Methodology is very important in terms of digital modeling.
The Senior Digital Modeler position utilizes their advanced technical knowledge, skills and ability to apply 3D scan/Alias data and/or 2D sketches to create Class A digital math utilizing the 3D Experience software. This position also applies advanced level data development to manage complex surface highlights and theoretical intersections to high-quality data sets in an efficient manner. The Senior Digital Modeler position has a complete understanding of Bezier features as well as parametric modeling techniques and applies this advanced technical knowledge to develop math data for mock builds, production release level data and advanced design support for 3D presentations.
