Job description

Description
  • Serving as entry-level electrical engineer who designs, integrates, and tests Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems for shipboard and ashore sites.
  • Supporting the entire development lifecycle, from installation to troubleshooting including assisting senior engineers in integrating hardware and software components for C4I systems on new and existing ships and shore sites, including network operating systems and applications
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by administrators
  • Creating and updating technical artifacts, such as technical design packages including Shipboard Installation Drawings and Installation Design Packages

Requirements
  • Ability to hold a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or related discipline) and 0-2 years of work-related experience (co-ops and internships are acceptable)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable expressing ideas and plans both verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytical skills; capable of performing a variety of technical engineering data analysis
  • Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Microsoft Access or other database tools is beneficial
  • Academic background in circuit analysis, DC & AC (Single and Three Phase) power analysis, and communications systems to include RF analysis and design coupled with radio and RF Front End architectures
  • Must be motivated and capable of performing independent research but also possess interpersonal skills to work within a collaborative environment
Desired Skills
  • Experience developing Cable Block Diagrams or similar drawings such as Schematics or Wiring Diagrams
  • Experience developing Cable Running Sheets or similar drawings that depict cable build details and requirements
  • Familiarity with arrangements, Outline & Installation drawings, Cableway drawings, and/or one-line diagrams
  • Experience with determining appropriate MILSPEC connectors and backshells for various applications
  • AutoCAD or similar 2D design tool experience
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 Engineering drawing practices
  • Familiarity with Navy and/or ABS standards
  • Knowledge of Radio Communication Systems
  • C4I system design experience
  • Basic understanding of RF principles
