Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume urgent care center or emergency room preferred
License: Current state licensure as a radiologic technologist required
Certifications: CPR/BLS certification required, ARRT license required
Must-Have: Associate's degree from an accredited college required
Description:
The Radiologic Technologist works to provide expedited care for patients by performing X-ray examinations as ordered by providers.
The technologist also assists with front office activities as well as back office clinical activities.
In front office duties, the technologist performs all assigned duties, applying daily checklists for opening and closing processes.
Greet and assist patients and other guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
Register arriving patients in the electronic medical record (EMR) following existing protocols.
Process payments for services.
In back office clinical duties, room and triage patients.
Document review of symptoms, patient history, chief complaint, vital signs, and any other necessary clinical documentation in the EMR.
Obtain and process patient specimens according to protocol for point of care tests and send out labs for other tests required.
Assist with minor surgical procedures under the direction of a licensed provider.
In radiologic technologist duties, prepare the radiology suite, equipment, and materials as necessary.
Follow standard protocols for preparing patients for X-ray studies, capturing images, and documenting appropriately in the EMR.
Clean and stage exam and procedure suites in between patient occupancy.
Monitor receipt of X-ray images and availability of results.
Re-stock shelves and suites when supply orders are received.
Assist with training activities for new employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have outstanding bedside manner with both pediatric and adult patients.
Demonstrated ability and strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service principles are essential.
Possess excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently.
Must be able to speak and write English fluently.
Technology proficiency is critical, including previous EMR experience and knowledge of Microsoft software products.
Must work well in a team environment.
Reliable, independent transportation is required for travel to various locations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment with constant contact with the public and clinic staff.
The work may be stressful at times because of high volume.
