This internship is only available to high school students in NE Indiana. 

Responsibilities
  • Learn AutoCAD fundamentals to prepare deck and joist layouts
  • Help promote philanthropy activities to develop communication skills 
  • Prepare deck and joist layout plans and sections using AutoCAD
  • Prepare RFI's and coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers and others
  • Calculate joist and girder loading based on design loading provided on contract documents
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, production driven environment
  • Meet schedules for assigned projects
  • Other duties as necessary
Qualifications
  • Candidates should have an interest in a career where they'll utilize 2D/3D Drafting & Modeling Software
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a high school entering their senior year
  • Must possess skills to solve Algebra problems
  • Preferred cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.7
