Job description

Accufile is seeking an experienced, service‐oriented Part‐Time Research Law Librarian to support one of our law firm clients. This role is ideal for a skilled researcher with strong M&A, corporate, and legal research experience who thrives in a fast‐paced, client‐focused environment. This position is fully remote, with a hybrid option available for candidates located in the New York City metropolitan area.

Availability during East Coast business hours is required. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality, in-depth legal, corporate, and business research in support of a law firm client's attorneys, librarians, paralegals, and staff. Conduct research related to M&A, corporate, and transactional matters.

Monitor and respond to research requests and coordinate workflow with Accufile research team members across locations. Prioritize assignments, analyze and synthesize results, and deliver clear, concise research findings. Learn and follow client‐specific library policies, procedures, and research protocols.

Provide exceptional, responsive customer service. Collaborate effectively with Accufile researchers and the client's internal team to meet deadlines and expectations. Qualifications 5+ years of law firm library or research experience in a reference or research role, with strong legal and corporate research expertise.

Bachelor's degree required. MLIS from an ALA‐accredited institution or JD from an ABA‐accredited institution preferred. Advanced knowledge of legal research platforms, including Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, and similar tools.

Experience with a wide range of fee‐based and free electronic databases, subject‐specific resources, and legal analytics tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain research findings. Self‐motivated, detail‐oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating with a distributed research team.
