Job Summary:
Responsible for all activities relating to the shipping of components, confirming each shipment and maintaining the completed order paperwork. They will assist the warehouse in confirming actual inventory and will help expedite the shipping process. They will also use the internet to locate cost beneficial shipping that is customer focused.
Responsibilities:
  • Routes, confirms, and maintains each order for their Region.
  • Provides fast and efficient responses to questions.
  • Strong communicator, keeping everyone informed as to the status of the orders.
  • Work closely with the carriers, builds relationships, expedites the shipments while controlling costs using approved carriers.
  • Pays attention to accuracy, timeliness, reliability, adaptability, and responsiveness.
  • Provides traffic assistance to internal customers; i.e. MKTG, WHSE, SALES.
  • Posting and managing shipments over the internet.

Education/Certification:
  • Some post H.S./education in traffic dispatching, order tracking, shipment cost analysis, rate quotation, and customs export compliance

Skills & Experience:
  • 2+ years in ability to obtain quotes for multiple types of shipments and identify and solve logistical problems hindering order fulfillment
  • 2+ years in ability to complete export customs paperwork for worldwide shipments with an emphasis on Canadian requirements for NAFTA, SED, country of origin, and commodity code declarations
