What you'll do:

  • Assist customers through the buying process supported by established selling steps, policies and procedures.
  • Greet and qualify customers by understanding buyers' requirements and interests.
  • Write sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Utilize dealership sales controls and follow-up systems.
  • Offer test drives to all interested customers and obtain proper identification prior to test drive.
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits and describe optional equipment for purchase.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction rating at or above Company standards.
  • Ensure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Maintain a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that each customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance.

Requirements

  • Previous sales, customer service or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.

Working Environment & Physical Demands

Duties are performed throughout the dealer premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts will include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
