Job description

Experienced BDC / Internet Sales ManagerGreenville Automotive Group | Greenville Chevrolet & Greenville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Greenville, Alabama

Greenville Automotive Group is looking for an experienced, hands-on BDC / Internet Sales Manager to oversee the digital sales process for both Greenville Chevrolet and Greenville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

This is an important leadership position within our sales operation. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our internet leads, CRM processes, appointment performance, online inventory presentation, and overall digital customer experience.

This is not an entry-level BDC position.

The right candidate understands that today's customer often visits the dealership online before they ever walk through the door. How quickly we respond, how professionally we communicate, and how well our inventory is presented can determine whether that customer buys from us or somewhere else.

We want someone who takes pride in making sure no opportunity falls through the cracks.

What You'll DoBDC & Internet Sales Management
  • Manage incoming internet leads for both dealerships

  • Ensure leads are contacted quickly and professionally by phone, text, and email

  • Personally work leads and assist with customer communication when needed

  • Schedule, confirm, and follow up on appointments

  • Re-engage missed appointments, unsold customers, and older opportunities

  • Monitor CRM activity and ensure proper follow-up is being completed

  • Maintain accurate lead statuses, customer notes, tasks, and appointment information

  • Monitor lead response time, appointment set rate, show rate, and sales conversion

  • Identify leads or opportunities that are not being handled properly and take corrective action

  • Work closely with Sales Managers and sales staff to improve internet performance

  • Help develop and improve phone scripts, text messages, email templates, and follow-up processes

  • Monitor automated and AI-assisted customer communication for accuracy and professionalism

  • Identify CRM, lead-routing, or process problems and work with management to correct them

Inventory Photography & Online Merchandising

This position will also help oversee how our vehicles are presented online and on our dealership lots.

Responsibilities include:

  • Photograph new and pre-owned inventory

  • Ensure newly arrived vehicles are photographed and online quickly

  • Maintain consistent, professional photo standards

  • Apply dealership marketing banners and photo overlays

  • Monitor inventory listings for missing photos or inaccurate information

  • Help ensure vehicles are properly merchandised on dealership websites

  • Review online inventory for pricing, mileage, equipment, description, or presentation concerns

  • Help identify vehicles that need additional online exposure or updated merchandising

Inventory Presentation & Quality Control

The right person will also be willing to get out from behind the desk.

You will routinely help monitor our inventory and identify vehicles that need attention, including:

You'll work with Sales, Service, Detail, and Management to make sure our inventory is presented at the highest possible standard.

We're Looking for Someone Who:
  • Has previous Automotive BDC, Internet Sales, CRM, dealership sales, or similar experience

  • Understands how to convert internet inquiries into showroom appointments

  • Is comfortable communicating with customers by phone, text, and email

  • Understands BDC performance metrics and knows how to use them to improve results

  • Has strong CRM and computer skills

  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Works well independently and doesn't need constant supervision

  • Notices problems and takes action instead of waiting to be told

  • Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment

  • Communicates well with employees, managers, customers, and vendors

  • Has a professional attitude and appearance

  • Has a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Previous automotive BDC / Internet Sales experience is strongly preferred.

Experience with Tekion or another automotive CRM/DMS, inventory photography, dealership websites, digital marketing, or online vehicle merchandising is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

We're looking for someone who will truly own the digital showroom.

That means:

  • Faster lead response

  • Better and more consistent follow-up

  • More appointments

  • Higher appointment show rates

  • More internet sales

  • Cleaner CRM data

  • Better accountability

  • Faster inventory photography and merchandising

  • Better online vehicle presentation

  • Fewer missed opportunities

If a lead hasn't been contacted, you notice it.

If an appointment hasn't been confirmed, you catch it.

If a vehicle has been online without photos, you find out why.

If a process isn't working, you help fix it.

We want a problem-solver, not simply someone who monitors a computer screen.
