This could include attending meetings, conferences, or managing projects in foreign locations. The frequency and duration of travel can vary depending on the employer and role, ranging from occasional short trips to frequent or extended stays abroad. Candidates should be prepared for potential challenges such as time zone differences, cultural adjustments, and varying travel schedules. Employers usually specify the estimated percentage of time that international travel will be expected.

What are jobs that require international travel?

Jobs with required international travel include sales positions, consulting roles, and any positions that travel internationally for training or meetings. International travel can be mandatory at a variety of levels in companies that operate internationally, ranging from inspecting and auditing local offices to participating in global summits with executives from all around the world. The amount of travel abroad depends on the position. For example, you may travel overseas on a monthly or even weekly basis, while others only visit another country once a year to demonstrate a new product or service. The length of visits can vary from a day or two to weeks or months. International travel jobs usually focus on commercial corporations, as opposed to government or contractor roles that require international travel.
