This role will coach teams in Scrum and SAFe practices, facilitate productive events, remove impediments, strengthen coordination across delivery teams, and use evidence-based improvement practices without assuming the Product Owner's or technical team's accountabilities.
Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):
  • Coach team members in self-management, cross-functionality, shared ownership, and sustainable delivery
  • Ensure Scrum events are purposeful, productive, timeboxed, and focused on inspection and adaptation
  • Help the team focus on valuable increments that meet the agreed acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done
  • Identify, escalate, and drive the removal of impediments, dependencies, and organizational barriers
  • Support Product Owners with Product Goal clarity, backlog refinement techniques, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Facilitate planning, reviews, retrospectives, daily coordination, and cross-team synchronization as appropriate
  • Use flow, quality, predictability, and outcome measures to guide improvement while avoiding metric-driven pressure
  • Coordinate with engineering, testing, security, data, and platform personnel to support integrated DevSecOps delivery
  • Track and communicate team impediments, dependencies, delivery risks, decisions, and improvement actions
  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability expectations of the DoW customer environment

Qualifications/Requirements:
The Candidate must have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. We are looking for self-managing candidates who enjoy working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and working with dynamic teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizen (Authorization to Work in the U.S. will not suffice); previous professional experience supporting the U.S. Federal Government, either as a federal employee or contractor, is required
  • 7+ years of professional experience, including substantial Agile delivery, facilitation, or team-coaching experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent, OR 4 additional years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Current Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Scrum certification
  • Demonstrated experience coaching cross-functional software teams in Scrum and supporting scaled Agile coordination
  • Experience facilitating conflict resolution, dependency management, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to interpret delivery, flow, quality, and team-health measures and translate findings into practical coaching
  • Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoW-approved baseline cybersecurity certification, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of starting
  • Excellent facilitation, written communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
  • Active Tier 2 background investigation or higher, completed or favorably adjudicated within the previous 18 months

Highly Desired Qualifications:
  • SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, or SAFe Practice Consultant certification
  • Active Secret security clearance preferred; previous professional experience supporting a DoW organization, mission, or customer is strongly preferred
  • Experience coaching multiple interdependent teams in DevSecOps delivery and supporting PI Planning or comparable scaled events
