Job Description Job Title: Automation Engineer Location: Indianapolis, IN Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to optimize our manufacturing and production processes. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety through innovative automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop automation systems, including robotic systems, PLC programming, HMI development, and integration of sensors and actuators. - Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that improve operational efficiency. - Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects.

- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems. - Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes, including system design, operation manuals, and maintenance procedures.

- Train and support staff on the operation and maintenance of automation systems. - Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in automation technologies. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. - Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI/SCADA systems. - Experience with robotic systems and industrial automation software

- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information effectively. Preferred Skills: - Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and IoT applications. - Familiarity with CAD software for designing automation systems
