Job Title – Field Service Supervisor

Department – International

Reports to – Operations Manager, International

Location – US, Canada, or International


Job Summary

The Field Service Supervisor is primarily responsible to support and mentor the Operations team by acting as front-line field support. They will be required to plan and execute high profile operations, with a focus on operational excellence and overall job quality. As a supervisor in the operation, they will be required to run all NCS bottom hole assemblies and cased hole completion systems in any area that NCS performs work.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Responsible for operation and proper configuration of downhole fracturing and completion tools and systems for intended job and well design
  • Ensure that operational specifications (limits) of the down hole tools are not exceeded
  • Ensure down hole tools and equipment are configured correctly for intended job
  • Liaise between pumping/coil services and energy company to ensure job success
  • Provides front-line support for customer with a high degree of professionalism
  • Communicate and work with customers, rig, coil, frac and other third-party personnel
  • Accurately complete job reports, create tool assembly schematics, and field service orders upon completion of job in a timely manner
  • Report any non-conformance in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in post-job analysis and after-action reviews
  • Prepare equipment for each specific job
  • All NCS tools and equipment looked after in a professional manner i.e.: tools clean and painted
  • Help to promote safe work practices and higher standards of performance
  • Support and uphold HS&E policies and procedures of NCS and the customer
  • Align individual goals with NCS’s corporate goals, while adhering to and promoting the NCS Promise
  • Participate in Personal Development for Success (PDS)
  • Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Technical Certificate/Diploma or Degree; preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct industry experience
  • Industry related experience, coiled tubing, drilling rigs, fracturing, drilling/service, and downhole tool operations
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites
  • Work with other teams, and exhibit effective communication
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent judgement, ability to plan, high level of efficiency & work ethic
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, manage priorities
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities in all weather conditions
  • Ability to perform job in remote locations
  • Eligibility to work in US, Canada, and international markets
  • Perform physical labor, when necessary, in addition to standing or travelling for long periods of time
  • Ability to move or lift 25lbs – 50lb
  • This position requires travel to global offshore installations including but not limited to: North Sea (UK, Norwegian, Dutch & Danish sectors), Gulf of Mexico/America. Offers of employment and continued employment are conditioned on the ability to obtain and maintain all required offshore medical certifications, travel clearances, and safety qualifications established by offshore operators, transportation providers, and applicable regulatory authorities. The ability to safely utilize offshore transportation, rescue, evacuation, and personal protective equipment is an essential function of this role. Certain certification standards include physical qualification requirements established by independent certification authorities. Failure to obtain or maintain required certifications may affect eligibility for offshore assignments and continued employment.
