Baptist Health is looking to add a Radiology Technologist Intern in our Radiology Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. The Rad Tech Intern reports to the Lead Technologist on shift. This is a PRN opportunity. This Radiology Technologist student will be a 2nd-year student and work in all aspects of x-ray (ED, Portables, Fluoro, and OR).
This Radiology Technologist must be enrolled in an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
As a Radiologic Technologist Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • The Intern assists the Radiology Technical staff by transporting patients, handling cassettes, and obtaining patient records.
  • As their training progresses, they will assume a more hands-on technical role in the department by performing diagnostic exams on patients under the direct guidance of a registered technical professional.
  • Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.

  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 year in X-ray as a technologist upon completion of their licensure requirements.
  • If they are thinking of going to another modality, they will not be able to do such for 1 full year.
