What is an international radiologist?

An International Radiologist is a medical imaging specialist who works across different countries, interpreting diagnostic images such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. They may provide remote tele-radiology services or travel to various locations to support medical facilities with expertise in imaging diagnostics. Their role often involves collaborating with healthcare teams globally and ensuring accurate diagnosis and patient care across different healthcare systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an international radiologist?

To succeed as an International Radiologist, you need a medical degree with specialization in radiology, solid diagnostic imaging skills, and often medical licensure in multiple countries. Familiarity with a range of imaging modalities, PACS/RIS systems, and certification from recognized radiology boards are typically required. Adapting to new work environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from diverse backgrounds are critical parts of the role. Overcoming these challenges helps ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care, while building valuable global experience in the field.

About Us:

Select Radiology Solutions is a division of Radiology Imaging Associates, a physician-owned private practice based in Central Florida, specializing in teleradiology solutions nationwide. With a team of 200+ radiologists, we serve a diverse network of hospitals, free-standing ERs, Level I/II Trauma Centers, and Comprehensive Stroke Centers, partnering with multiple health systems and imaging centers. Unlike many groups, we keep our IT and support staff in-house, ensuring seamless operations, responsive assistance, and optimized efficiency for our radiologists. As one of the few remaining true private practices, we are committed to preserving independence and avoiding the influence of corporate or private equity models. In response to growing dissatisfaction with corporatized/private equity radiology, we continue to expand aggressively, achieving consecutive years of double-digit growth. Employees and partners are treated equally with equal pay for moonlighting shifts. We strongly value workplace culture and do not support hierarchies, unequal work distribution/productivity, or cherry-picking. We are seeking dedicated, hardworking radiologists to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
