Job description

Overview
Join the fast-paced, detail-driven environment at Gourmet Foods International as a Transportation coordinator. In this role, you’ll support the transportation department with light accounting duties, data reconciliation, expense validation, and administrative coordination. You'll help maintain accurate records across multiple systems, contribute to cross-functional communication, and ensure smooth day-to-day logistics operations.

What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:

  • Reconcile payables invoices and apply correct General Ledger (GL) codes.
  • Match invoices with purchase receipts to validate transactions.
  • Review and validate fuel and hotel transactions for accuracy.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable billing processes.
  • Assist with collections and monitor aging reports.
  • Make travel arrangements for transportation staff as needed.
  • Prepare and submit driver expenses for approval.
  • Maintain and update Comdata card records.

Things you need to be able to do:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments and with external vendors.
  • Excellent problem-solving and account reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently with speed and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel and Outlook.

Things that are a plus:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework a plus).
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting, administrative, or related experience.
