There are an estimated 80 million people around the world today in need of a wheelchair. We are focused and committed to being a leading provider of mobility in developing countries, but beyond placing a recipient in a wheelchair, we are bringing transformation that opens doors to education, employment opportunities, and community that these individuals only dreamed of before receiving the gift of mobility. 

Free Wheelchair Mission is seeking a Partner Relationships Coordinator who not only meets the requirements of the job but has an interest in being part of an organization that is making a significant difference in the lives of individuals in need throughout the world. 

 Job Summary: 

This position will have a focus on knowledge and project management for the Programs team, contributing to the strength of FWM’s global distribution partner portfolio and Basic Wheelchair Training Program.  

The Programs Coordinator, Partnerships will help develop guidelines and processes for more effective knowledge management, including training materials, reports, and partner applications. The Partner Relationships Coordinator will also provide leadership to project management, including tracking partner communications, global trainings, and orders of wheelchairs and medical gifts-in-kind (GIK). The position will be trained as a Salesforce Super User. The Programs Coordinator, Partnerships will support coordination of communication between the Director of Programs Partnerships, Partner Relationships Managers, trainers, the Operations and Compliance team, and distribution partners. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in the design and implementation of processes and initiatives to manage data and information related to FWM’s global distribution partners. 

  • Maintain up-to-date records in Salesforce on the entirety of the distribution partner portfolio, and become a Salesforce Super User for the Programs Team (within the first year of hire).

  • Create status reports in Salesforce for staff, as requested. 

  • Support the Programs team with task management by monitoring upcoming deadlines with project management software (Smartsheet, Monday.com). 

  • Contribute to preparing documentation for steps in the partner cycle, including applications, trainings, projections, communications, etc. 

  • Support processes related to partners’ wheelchair and GIK orders. 

  • Work with team members to prepare internal reports, dashboards, and updates for senior leadership.   

  • Support the processing of partner invoices. 

  • Manage translations for key partner documents, including manuals and audits. 

  • Update & maintain department policies & procedures.

  • Collaborate with leadership on key partnership initiatives, such as potential Vision Trips, webinars, events, global conferences, etc.   

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned in support of daily job duties by direct supervisor, including travel logistics, scheduling meetings, travel support, filing, etc.  

  • Participate in offsite staff development and fundraising events.   

  • Work on occasional evenings and weekends.   

  • Share the message of Free Wheelchair Mission and our vision.   

Minimum Experience and Required Skills:  

  • B.S./B.A. Degree Required – preferably in relevant background. 

  • Minimum 1 year in nonprofit program or development services. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience. 

  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Outlook and Excel a MUST, ACCESS and  

  • Salesforce skills are a plus. 

  • Ability to work as part of a team, interact diplomatically and build relationships with diverse partners, agents, and groups stateside and internationally. Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills a MUST. 

  • International experience preferred.

Compensation:
