Job description

The QA Compliance Technician will support the Foods Safety and Quality Assurance programs and activities that will ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices including CGMP, HACCP, and Preventive Controls. The QA Compliance Technician will help integrate quality assurance and quality control into all functions and people.

Hours: 5am - 2:30pm with potential OT until 4pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for upholding food safety standards
  • Assist in the development and help maintain compliance with various quality related programs including but not limited to CGMP, environmental monitoring, sanitation, allergen, HACCP, Preventive Controls, product recall, traceability, and internal audits.
  • Document control and record keeping of supplier communications.
  • Assist in quality assurance and quality control programs from receiving raw materials to the shipment of finished goods.
  • Assist with successful compliance of international, federal, state or local regulations as they apply to health, food safety, and labeling requirements.
  • Support the pest control, sanitation, and microbiological testing programs.
  • Assist and participate in auditing programs
  • Support the Domestic supplier approval programs.
  • Assist with training programs for GMP, HACCP, HARPC, allergen, food defense, and other food safety related programs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required

Qualifications:

  • HACCP Certification required
  • SQF Practitioner and/or PCQI Certification preferred
  • At least one year of experience in Microsoft Office
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Labeling experience a plus
