Job description

Job Posting Under the direction of the Chief of Police, Investigator and Sergeant, Police Officers serve a vital role in protecting the community and maintaining public safety. Officers are responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances; responding to calls for service and citizen complaints; protecting life and property; and assisting with the investigation of criminal offenses, traffic accidents, and other public safety incidents. This position requires professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to serving the community with integrity and respect.

Applicants must be eligible for Minnesota POST licensure by their employment start date. Candidates must successfully complete and pass each component of the selection process, including: (1) Oral Evaluation; (2) Background; (3) Psychological; (4) Physical Examination; and (5) Drug Screening.
