Robert Bosch LLC seeks Senior Technical Expert (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 N Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Serve as the primary point of contact for regional topics with local Vehicle Motion (VM) organization and global Mobility Electronics - Mechatronics team (ME-MT). 30% Collect, evaluate, and prioritize business requirements in collaboration with VM (Steering and Brakes products) to enhance collaboration. 30% Manage, align and evolve new requirements for next Gen product generations like BWA, 48 Systems, EMB in Mechatronics. Manage an international development engineering network, including program and project coordination (requirements engineering, initiation, definition, and planning) with relevant stakeholders and escalation. Align customer projects, and platform project's needs. Oversee resource management for each individual project (resource demand and allocation). 10% Perform customer Layout development of new functionalities like Ethernet communication (higher bandwidth) and 48V applications, development of unique Power connection systems (USCAR) for North American Customers as safety critical requirement. 10% Build and maintain a reliable global development network. Monitor & report on scope, quality, budget, and timeline for projects. Manage dependencies and issues among different projects. Define measures in case project targets are at risk. Perform Stakeholder management (expectations, information, involvement). 10% Provide consultation, guidance, and support to VM organization on Mechatronic topics. Provide consultation and direct support on requirements clarification and negotiation with local OEM. 5% Coordinate localization of new suppliers as well as product material & process technologies as cost down measures (RPP) implementation in the region. Manage the Supply chain development for domestic manufacturing of specialty technology. 5%. REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in technology management, systems engineering or a related field and 7 years of experience as a Mechatronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or an occupation involving the full life cycle development for automotive electronic products. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Reliability design regarding environmental loads (Mechanical ECU design, thermal management and connectors for automotive application); (2) NoTi design and features with focus on PCB layout and hardware design; (3) Design for manufacturing and assembly of automotive mechatronic units; (4) Mechatronic design of automotive braking and steering units following the ISO norms and certifications as customer requirements; (5) Project management of mechatronics projects for electronic control units (ECUs) for braking/steering products; and (6) Requirements management and analysis, using DOORS as ww standardized tool. Telecommuting: 4 days a week in office.
