Director of Maintenance (DOM)


Position Description


AeroCenters PDK is seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to lead the

maintenance operations for a G-550. This role will oversee aircraft maintenance,

compliance, and team leadership to support domestic and international flights under

Part 91.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs,

ensuring aircraft airworthiness and dispatch availability.

  • Develops, maintains, and implements short and long-term maintenance plans.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, company

manuals, and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, repair facilities, and FAA

representatives.

  • Scheduled Maintenance- Full responsibility for planning, coordination, oversight, and cost control of all scheduled maintenance events.
  • Unscheduled / AOG Maintenance

Full responsibility for planning, coordination, oversight, and cost control of all unscheduled and AOG maintenance events domestically and internationally.

  • Proactive International Maintenance Support Planning

Will optimally plan support for all international trips scheduled.

  • Availability & Onsite Support/ Unplanned Events

Must be available to immediately support any unplanned maintenance events.

  • Annual Maintenance Forecasting

An annual maintenance-planning forecast will be developed based on projected aircraft utilization.

  • Aircraft Record and Document Audit

Review the aircraft records and conduct a comprehensive audit of the aircraft documentation. The audit will confirm regulatory compliance, adherence to industry best practices, and readiness for a future pre-purchase inspection.

  • Maintain aircraft, facilities, and ground support equipment to ensure safety and

cleanliness.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to the company’s SMS program
  • Build positive relationships across maintenance, flight operations, dispatch,

and ground teams.

  • Collaborate with leadership and aircraft owner to ensure on-time and on-

budget completion of maintenance projects.

  • Maintains all records and logbooks (both electronic and paper)



Qualifications

  • Turbine maintenance experience that includes International operational

aviation experience (civil, military, or government), operation of

large-cabin business jets.

  • Gulfstream/ G550 Experience
  • DOM Experience
  • Locally Atlanta based near PDK (Peachtree Dekalb Airport)
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A P) Certificate; Inspection Authorization

(IA).

  • Proven leadership experience in aircraft maintenance management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and aircraft program

software

  • Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid passport and any required travel documents allowing unrestricted

international travel, including the ability to exit and re-enter the United

States, and legal authorization to work in the U.S

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
