Job Title: International Logistics Manager (Korean Bilingual) *Relocation offered*

Job Description

The International Logistics Manager oversees the importation of goods and coordinates all international logistics activities to ensure timely, efficient delivery of materials. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments, leading logistics processes, managing customer communications, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable import regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the importation of goods while ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and internal company procedures.
  • Coordinate international shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers to meet delivery timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, logistics inquiries, and resolution of logistics-related issues.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers, vendors, and logistics partners.
  • Monitor shipping schedules, proactively identify potential delays, and implement solutions to resolve logistics issues.
  • Utilize the company’s ERP system to manage purchase orders, inventory transactions, shipping documentation, and logistics data.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for import shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, Inventory, and Sales teams to support production schedules and meet customer requirements.
  • Analyze logistics performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce freight and logistics costs, and enhance customer service levels.
  • Develop and implement logistics best practices and standardized operating procedures to strengthen operational consistency.
  • Prepare detailed reports related to shipping activities, inventory status, freight costs, and overall logistics performance.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable import/export regulations.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department to drive operational excellence.
  • Perform other logistics and operations-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 4–6 years of management experience in logistics, supply chain, import/export, or international transportation.
  • Proven experience managing international imports and customs processes.
  • Fluency in Korean and English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping practices, import documentation requirements, and customs compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with logistics coordination involving freight, ocean freight, and international shipping.
  • Ability to effectively use ERP systems to manage purchase orders, inventory transactions, and logistics documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and logistics partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively address delays and logistics-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

The role is based within a manufacturing company, but the International Logistics Manager works primarily in an office environment. Typical work hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility offered.
