Position Summary
The Conformity Project Manager ensures the airworthiness of the aircraft by validating its compliance with 14 CFR regulations and the JAFS conformity process. The Conformity Project Manager will oversee progress and management of the assembled conformity team(s) activities throughout all phases of this process. The Conformity Project Manager will possess a thorough understanding the 14 CFR regulations, the requirements for validating Part 91 and 135 compliance and be capable of following the JAFS confirmation process. The Conformity Project Manager will serve the company's and customer's needs and requirements by producing a conformity package acceptable to the FAA administrator. This hybrid position can be based out of most Jet Aviation locations in the US network.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years' experience in aviation management of permanent records.
  • Three (3) year's or more of practical corporate aircraft management experience.
  • Available to work flexible work schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Frequent travel to on-site conformity location, which mostly will be domestic but may also be international.
  • Self-educator and motivator.
  • May be required to be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must also be able to pass a required 10-year background check which includes drug test.
  • Must obtain an Airport ID Badge within 30 days of employment, if required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identifies the aircraft transitions department scheduling requirements and coordinates the performance of the aircraft's permanent records and physical condition conformity
  • Selects and assigns the conformity team with internal/external personnel
  • Ensures conformity team members (contractors) are well prepared and understand their responsibility for compliance of Jet Aviation's conformity processes
  • Manages the conformity team in the performance of the aircraft's permanent records review and physical inspection
  • Uses appropriate discretion when planning daily operation for conformity team's goals and objectives
  • Exercises self-determining judgment in managing conformity documented discrepancies with assigned responsible person for efficient resolution
  • Validates all collected data and appendixes are complete and detailed in accordance with JAFS Conformity process
  • Performs a final review of conformity package in accordance with JAFS accepted validation process on Part 91 and Part 135 aircraft prior to submission to Director of Aircraft Transitions
  • Participates in the development and final review of the Aircraft Inspection Manual (AIM) prior to submission to the Director of Quality Assurance

Main Responsibilities
  • Reviews the effectiveness, efficiencies, performance and productivity of the conformity team and provides feedback and updates and to the Director of Aircraft Transitions.
  • Interfaces with assigned FAA principle inspectors when directed
  • Interfaces with assigned maintenance manager or client representative
  • Interfaces with computerized maintenance tracking program analyst
  • Interfaces with outside vendors in support of the conformity process
  • Provides collected data and submits pertinent conformity information into the Continuous Airworthiness Surveillance System (CASS)
  • Performs and applies Jet Aviation Safety and CASS policies and procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
