Job description

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist provides fundamental technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, cardiac and physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for assisting the physician with safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison.Estimated pay range for this position is $34.08 - $47.71 / hour depending on experience.Degrees:
  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary Technologist (CVT) from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or a graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Eligible to sit for the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist exam upon completion of one year full-time work experience in invasive cardiovascular technology.
  • Completes a minimum of 12 CEU's annually (10 CEU's must be CV related).
