Our equipment is used by customers throughout the United States and exported around the world.Because our machinery is shipped internationally, our electrical systems are designed and built to meet the electrical, safety, and customer requirements of the countries where our equipment is installed. We build equipment to U.S. standards as well as CE-compliant equipment for international markets.We are looking for an experienced Industrial Electrical Technician / Machine Wiring Electrician to join our team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who enjoys building machinery, wiring control panels, troubleshooting electrical systems, and seeing a project through from assembly to final testing.The PositionThis is primarily a machine-building position-not a facility maintenance electrician position.You will be responsible for wiring electrical control panels and complete custom production machinery. The successful candidate will be able to read electrical drawings, understand how the system is intended to operate, install and wire electrical components, perform machine wire runs, and troubleshoot electrical issues during assembly and testing.We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing clean, accurate, professional electrical workmanship and who understands that our equipment represents our company to customers around the world.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and wire electrical control panels for custom industrial machinery.Wire complete machines and production systems from control panels to motors, sensors, valves, switches, actuators, and other electrical devices.Perform machine wire runs using conduit, wireway, cable tray, flexible conduit, connectors, and other appropriate wiring methods.Install and wire electrical components including:Circuit breakersContactorsRelaysTerminal blocksPower suppliesMotor startersVFDsTransformersSensorsSolenoid valvesMotorsSafety devicesOther industrial control componentsRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of material.Perform point-to-point wiring and verify wiring against electrical drawings.Properly route, terminate, label, secure, and organize wires and cables.Build clean and professional control panels with attention to wire routing and component placement.Test electrical systems and verify proper operation before equipment is shipped.Troubleshoot electrical wiring, components, and control circuits during machine assembly and testing.Work closely with mechanical assembly, engineering, controls, and project personnel.Identify wiring, component, or drawing issues and communicate them to engineering and management.Follow applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, customer specifications, and company standards.Build equipment to different electrical standards and customer requirements for domestic and international markets.Support the electrical requirements of CE-compliant machinery.Assist with machine startup, testing, and final inspection prior to shipment.Occasionally assist with equipment installation, startup, and troubleshooting at customer locations. Required Qualifications5–10+ years of industrial electrical experience preferred.Strong hands-on experience wiring industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or automated systems.Proven experience wiring electrical control panels.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Experience working with three-phase electrical systems.Strong knowledge of industrial electrical components and wiring practices.Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and wiring problems.Comfortable using electrical test equipment, including a multimeter.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to follow electrical drawings accurately.Good mechanical aptitude.Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical and machine assembly. Preferred QualificationsThe following experience is highly desirable:Custom machinery or machine-building experience.Industrial automation experience.Food-processing or packaging machinery experience.Control-panel fabrication and wiring.Experience with PLC-controlled equipment.Experience with VFDs and motor controls.Experience with 24VDC control systems.Experience with industrial sensors, switches, solenoids, relays, and safety circuits.Experience wiring machinery for CE compliance or other international electrical standards.Familiarity with NEC requirements and industrial electrical safety practices.Experience reading drawings created with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar software.Electrical apprenticeship, journeyman training, or equivalent experience.Experience with machine commissioning or field startup. The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a hands-on industrial electrician who enjoys building machinery.You should be comfortable taking an electrical drawing and turning it into a properly wired, functioning machine.We are looking for someone who:Takes pride in neat and professional wiring.Understands electrical schematics and can work independently.Can troubleshoot rather than simply install.Pays close attention to details.Works well with engineers, mechanics, controls technicians, and other members of the manufacturing team.Takes ownership of the quality of their work.Understands the importance of building equipment correctly before it leaves our facility.Is interested in learning and working with different electrical standards for customers around the world. Why This Position Is DifferentOur equipment is custom-built and shipped around the world.
