Job Description:

Own your opportunity to turn data into measurable outcomes for our customers' most complex challenges. This customer-focused role integrates enterprise data management, data analytics, structured records management, system data accreditation support, and controlled data library services.

HOW A DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Data Management & Operational Insights
  • Analyze lifecycle, operational, compliance, and technical data to derive insights and support enterprise reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and visualizations for Sponsor leadership and technical teams.
  • Prepare validated datasets and analysis artifacts supporting forecasting, modernization, and risk analysis.
  • Identify trends, variances, noncompliance indicators, and technical risks across distributed systems.
  • Enhance workflow automation, data quality validation checks, and reporting processes.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in data discoverability and best practice recommendations on enterprise data management using Sponsor tools and data repositories.
  • Provide best practice recommendations of data management, data governance, data compliance
Records Management
  • Maintain curated repositories of classified and unclassified data sources ensuring traceability and auditability.
  • Execute full-lifecycle records management including identification, cataloging, archiving, retrieval, and disposition.
  • Prepare physical documents for digitization including removal of bindings, sorting, barcoding, scanning, and reassembly.
  • Perform 100% quality control validation of digitized documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Capture and record required metadata such as title, publication date, classification, subject, document type, and retention attributes.
  • Maintain tracking records, barcodes, logs, and workflow documentation for archived and active records.
  • Ensure adherence to Sponsor records policy, retention schedules, and secure handling requirements.
System Data Accreditation (SDA)
  • Support development of data definitions, data quality standards, and business rules for system accreditation packages.
  • Document data collection and governance procedures aligned with Sponsor information management accreditation methodology.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining accreditation artifacts, evidence packages, data lineage documentation, and validation results.
  • Ensure transparency, repeatability, and compliance of data workflows through detailed documentation and SOPs.
  • Perform data integrity, validation, and reconciliation checks required for accreditation processes.
  • Coordinate with system owners, engineers, ISSMs, and data stewards to ensure accreditation requirements are satisfied.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, data, engineering, library science, management or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience across data analysis, records management, data governance, or accreditation functions.
  • Required skills:
  • Experience with structured records management, metadata cataloging, and digitization workflows.
  • Experience supporting the customer environments, processes, and documentation standards.
  • Hands-on experience performing data integration, cleansing, processing, and analytics.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience preparing documentation for system data accreditation, governance, or compliance.
  • Knowledge of controlled document/media handling, accountability, and access control protocols.
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
  • NARA Records Management Certification.
  • Sponsor-specific SDA or governance experience.
  • Experience supporting controlled repositories, data libraries, and CDRL submissions.
  • Experience with JIRA/SharePoint/ServiceNow
  • US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
