D epartment Summary: The Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering Center is seeking a n Intermediate Cloud Engineer with a desire to work on innovative advanced approaches and technologies to solve our sponsors' most critical technological problems. In this role you will provide architectural and hands-on support to critical customer problems in cloud computing and DevOps as well as software development and architecture. In addition, you will have an opportunity to work in several specialty fields with information technology to include Infrastructure Applications, IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Computing (including OS & Application virtualization), platform migration, server consolidation, utility computing, and grid computing. Roles & Responsibilities : * Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues * Review existing systems and contribute to recommendations for improvement to sponsors and internal teams * Collaborate with development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions * Support the implementation and operation of cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices * Work under guidance to troubleshoot issues and contribute to technical solutions within a team environment *If this is a GL Requisition, please include this addendum: GL Addendum Basic Qualifications: * US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance * Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a Master's degree; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. * Experience with one or more commercial cloud offerings (AWS, A zure , Google Cloud, etc) * Experience with cloud-based solutions using DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar) * Experience with configuration management, infrastructure-as-code, cloud development frameworks, and build automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar) * Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker * Troubleshooting and analytical skills * Good communication and collaboration skills * Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD * Strong knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages , including Python, GO, Java, JavaScript , Typescript, C sharp Preferred Qualifications: * A ctive Top Secret security clearance * Approximately 2 years of experience in a technical field, including at least 1 year of cloud experience * Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker * Fundamental understanding of databases and data concepts: SQL, ETL/ELT, and stream processing This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):
