Paul Lukez Architecture (PLA) is a Boston Based design firm deeply committed to "creating sustainable designs that enrich the environment and elevate the human experience."  In the past three years, the firm has been awarded over 10 regional, national and international design awards for design excellence. PLA is very fortunate to be serving outstanding clients on a range of projects in the US and sometimes abroad. Projects include working on "innovation spaces" (learning spaces, labs and offices), Interiors projects, Residential projects and Urban Design. The office provides a highly collaborative studio setting, where a shared commitment to design excellence, craft, sustainability and client service are of paramount value. 

Job Description

Paul Lukez Architecture is currently seeking a Designer to join its firm. The Designer works under supervision of the Principal and key Senior Staff to design spaces in accordance with architectural standards and sound design principles while meeting both client and company expectations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required of the Designer.

  • Relies upon knowledge acquired through a professional degree program and prior experience to design a variety of spaces which may include:
    •  Architectural projects (office, hospitality and residential)
    • Innovation projects (leaning spaces, lab/research space and studio/creative workplace/housing projects)
    • Residential/housing projects.
  • Provides renderings, modeling, graphics or other representational and visualization tasks.
  • Assists with architectural competitions, research, business development and marketing related activities.
  • May participates in providing pre-project services, building documentation and measurement, schematic design, design development, construction drawings.
Qualifications
  • A professional degree is required; B-Arch or M-Arch or the equivalent.
  • More than two years of experience required in a design position.
  • Demonstrated organization skills and responsiveness to the task at hand.
  • Proficient knowledge of the following software packages:  AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Sketch-UP, and Adobe Suite.
  • Professional licensure is not required.

  Physical Demands/Efforts 

  • Work requires occasional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. 
  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time with possible kneeling or crouching.
