About the role:
The Global Agent Development Rep will be instrumental in the growth and development of the Air and Ocean business of TQL Global, with a primary focus on Transpacific trade lanes and Asia-based agent partnerships. This role will help support the growth, management, and expansion of TQL Global' s agent network across the Greater China, Southeast Asia, and Key Asian markets.

What you'll be doing:
  • Identify, onboard, develop, and manage Asia-based international freight forwarding agents.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for agents across China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, and other key Asian Markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Asia-based partners, requiring regular communication across time zones and non-standard business hours
  • Proactively providing available booking opportunities to TQL Account Reps and the International Operations Team
  • Supporting issue resolutions to agent-related disputes
  • Supporting operational functions as needed for TQL freight handled by our agents
  • Create and distribute market update to support global trade initiatives
  • Act as a primary escalation contact for issue resolution related to agents and global trade
  • Working with our Compliance team to vet agents to ensure compliance with the Federal Maritime Commission
  • Work closely with pricing, sales, operations, contracts, claims, trade compliance, & credit teams

What you need:
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in international freight forwarding preferred
  • Ability to work outside of standard business hours
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and being on the phone with internal and external customers
  • Comfortable working with multiple computer systems and the Microsoft Suite
  • Self-starter with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service or team-player skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Global cultural understanding
