Location: Houston, Texas (77064 – Northwest Houston)
Duration: Direct Hire
Compensation: $130,000 to $160,000

International Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly experienced International Operations Supervisor with a strong background in international freight forwarding, global logistics pricing, and team leadership. This role is ideal for someone coming from organizations such as CEVA, DHL, Kuehne+Nagel, Expeditors, DSV, or similar global logistics providers.

This is NOT an in-house logistics role — the ideal candidate must have experience working directly with international agent partners around the globe to source pricing, manage freight solutions, and oversee complex international logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage end-to-end international logistics strategies across energy, construction, manufacturing, and industrial projects
• Coordinate global movement of project cargo, oversized freight, and specialized shipments via air, ocean, truck, and rail
• Work directly with international agent partners and carriers to obtain competitive pricing and transportation solutions
• Lead quoting, forecasting, budgeting, and logistics planning initiatives
• Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation including B/Ls, COO, HS codes, permits, and customs documentation
• Oversee customs compliance, hazardous materials coordination, and special cargo requirements
• Monitor KPIs, shipment tracking, routing efficiency, and issue resolution across global operations
• Optimize freight costs, container utilization, storage planning, and transportation efficiency
• Negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers while managing SLAs and performance standards
• Partner closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Project Management teams
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing international logistics operations team
• Drive process improvements, operational efficiencies, and implementation of logistics technology tools

Requirements
• Strong background in international freight forwarding and global logistics operations
• Experience working with global agent networks and international pricing/quoting
• Leadership experience building and managing logistics teams
• Experience handling project cargo, oversized freight, or industrial shipments preferred
• Strong understanding of global shipping documentation, customs, and compliance
• Experience within energy, EPC, manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors highly preferred
• Excellent communication, vendor management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume international logistics environment
