Position Overview: We’re looking for an Internal Communications & Media Manager who can help connect our teams across the business through clear, consistent, and engaging communication.

In this role, you’ll manage key communication channels, create impactful content, and partner with leaders across the company to ensure employees stay informed, aligned, and connected to our mission and values.

Location: Memphis, TN. Candidates must live locally or be willing to relocate. Some travel to branch locations may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication Strategy & Execution
    • Support and execute internal communication plans aligned with business priorities
    • Identify communication gaps and help implement practical solutions
    • Maintain consistent messaging and communication standards
  • Content & Channel Management
    • Manage internal channels (intranet, email, digital signage, video)
    • Create clear, engaging written and multimedia content
    • Maintain the communications calendar and coordinate messaging across teams
    • Partner with media resources on video and visual content
  • Executive & Leadership Support
    • Draft and edit leadership communications (announcements, talking points, key messages)
    • Support leaders in effectively cascading information across the business
    • Ensure messaging is timely, clear, and aligned
    • Assist with communication planning and messaging for crisis or sensitive situations
  • Employee Engagement & Partnership
    • Partner with HR, Operations, IT, and other teams on communication needs
    • Build relationships across branches, regions, and departments
    • Support initiatives that strengthen engagement and culture
  • Operational Excellence & Improvement
    • Execute recurring communication tasks and rhythms
    • Track performance metrics (engagement, adoption, participation)
    • Use data and feedback to continuously improve communication efforts
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience
    • 5–8+ years in internal communications or a related field
    • Experience supporting multi-location or distributed teams preferred
    • Experience managing communication channels and/or media platforms
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting leadership communications
  • Skills
    • Strong writing and editing skills
    • Solid organization and project management abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
    • Comfort working with multimedia content and creative partners
    • Ability to use data to evaluate and improve effectiveness
