This is a dual-channel role: balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, personally leading the company's highest-impact communications while ensuring consistent, timely delivery of messages to the right audiences with clarity and impact. This role is expected to personally produce content across executive communications, enterprise announcements, and internal channels, not only set strategy for others to execute.

  • Develop communication strategies that address the distinct needs of diverse employee populations, including union employees, office-based employees, senior leaders, and international audiences

  • Partner with Legal, Human Resources, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure coordinated communications across the organization, aligning messaging, approvals, and sequencing

  • Develop messaging and supporting materials for enterprise initiatives that affect multiple stakeholder groups, including employees, leadership, partners, and community

  • Monitor emerging business issues and recommend communication approaches that proactively address reputational risk and organizational opportunity

  • Assist the Assoc. Director in developing crisis communication materials, issues preparedness resources, and message frameworks that enable timely and consistent responses

Corporate Storytelling & Enterprise Channels

  • Lead content strategy for Heaven Hill Brands' corporate communication channels, including LinkedIn and other enterprise-owned platforms

  • Develop content that highlights company culture, leadership, community involvement, business milestones, and corporate priorities

  • Ensure enterprise messaging remains consistent across internal and external corporate communications

  • Monitor performance and recommend opportunities to strengthen engagement and organizational storytelling

Internal Communications Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and lead the internal communications strategy to support company priorities, organizational alignment, and employee engagement

  • Establish editorial standards, governance, and communication best practices across internal channels

  • Direct the internal communications calendar, ensuring communications are timely, coordinated, and aligned with business priorities

  • Review and approve high-impact employee communications while empowering the Internal Communications Coordinator to own day-to-day channel execution

  • Evaluate communication effectiveness and recommend improvements based on employee feedback, channel performance, and evolving business needs

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen communication tools, channels, and the overall employee communications experience

Executive Communications

  • Partner with the Assoc. Director to support executive communications strategy for the Co-Presidents and senior leadership team

  • Draft executive messages, presentations, talking points, Q&A documents, and leadership communications that reflect each leader's authentic voice

  • Develop messaging frameworks and communication plans for key business initiatives and organizational milestones before drafting starts

  • Build briefing materials that enable leaders to communicate confidently during high-profile or sensitive moments

  • Anticipate executive communication needs and proactively develop messaging recommendations before they are requested

  • Coach senior leaders on how to communicate effectively during organizational change and high visibility business moments

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Partner with the Assoc. Director to develop the annual internal and enterprise communications strategy and priorities

  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to business partners across the organization, identifying emerging needs and recommending solutions before issues arise

  • Coach, develop, and provide strategic direction to the Corporate Communications Coordinator while fostering a high standard of execution

  • Personally lead communication development for high-profile, time-sensitive, or business-critical initiatives when the work requires senior judgment
