Location: Reno, NV
Salary: $120,000 annually
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Operations Manager to oversee daily operations for a growing industrial organization in Reno, Nevada. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple departments while ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong operational background, exceptional business acumen, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily operations across Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, and Warehouse departments
  • Drive process improvements to increase operational efficiency and productivity
  • Partner with Accounting on financial reviews, payment approvals, and operational reporting
  • Monitor sales activity and margin performance
  • Oversee SAP system performance in partnership with Accounting
  • Manage IT vendor relationships and support business systems
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and oversee internal quality audits
  • Lead workplace safety initiatives and training compliance
  • Manage purchasing activities, inventory control, receiving, and warehouse operations
  • Review and approve purchase orders, customer quotations, contracts, and key operational documents
  • Support production scheduling and operational planning
  • Coach, develop, and lead department managers and staff
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to achieve strategic business objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required - Mechanical Engineering 
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in operations, manufacturing, engineering, or a related environment
  • Strong leadership and team development experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand products and operational workflows
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
