Job description

JOBSUMMARY

Loss Prevention associates are responsible for detecting, reporting and resolving matters in the areas of safety, security, and inventory shortages providing customer service as per company standards. Duties include, but not limited to, physical security, reports policy and procedure violations to leadership, internal theft investigation, monitoring processes, compliance auditing, safety audits, and documentation.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Assists in the protection of all Monoprice Assets, to include Physical Assets (Facility, Machinery and Property), Human Assets (Monoprice Associates and Visitors), and Profit Assets (Merchandise).
  • Enforce company standards as they relate to security and safety procedures.
  • Partnering with Loss Prevention Supervisor, and Facilities Management, to professionally monitor Physical Security Policies and Procedures of Monoprice Distribution Center.
  • Report incidents of associate theft or safety violations to the Loss Prevention Supervisor.
  • When instructed, participates in internal theft investigations, in strict adherence to Monoprice Loss Prevention Internal Theft Investigation and Confidentiality Guidelines.
  • Monitors all Monoprice Distribution Center Safety Policies and Procedures and actively participates in the Distribution Center Safety Committee.
  • Performs Distribution Center - Loss Prevention Safety Audits.
  • Monitors closed circuit television systems (CCTV)
  • Perform all employee entrance operation check employee ID badges at the point of entrance. After the employee information has been verified; direct the employees through the employee entrance.
  • Maintain good record of electronic equipment issue to all employees.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facility to maintain physical security and protection of company assets.
  • Conduct and document investigations of accidents, injuries, losses, and near miss incidents.
  • Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• At least two years related experience

• Auditing Experience

• Working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and PeopleSoft

• Regular attendance is required.

• Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
