Job description

Overview

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist in the state of Alabama, a pharmacy intern may perform the following tasks: monitor drug therapy to improve patient outcome and quality of care; recommend rational and cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic alternatives and provide accurate and efficient medication distribution; implement and evaluate nutritional support and pharmacokinetic regimens.

Qualifications

Education: 

Enrolled in an accredited school of Pharmacy.  Must be Registered as a Pharmacy Intern/Extern with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire

Additional Skills/Abilities

Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.  Must be proficient in mathematics
