Job description

Front End Web Developer | TS/SCI
Quantico, VA
Overview
This role supports analysts and mission partners within the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) and across the broader Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) by building web-based interfaces used to access and visualize complex data. The applications you develop help users interact with structured and geospatial data in support of operational decision-making.
In this role, you will design and build front-end components for a production web application, improving how users interact with critical information in an enterprise environment. A key part of the work involves integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and back-end services to deliver seamless and reliable user experiences across the system. You will also contribute to improving usability, performance, and accessibility, while supporting interactive data visualization features that help users better understand and act on complex information.
While the platform supports geospatial intelligence workflows, the focus of this role is on front-end development, system integration, and user experience within a modern web application.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 4+ years of professional experience in front-end web development, with demonstrated experience integrating with enterprise back-end systems via APIs
  • Strong experience building responsive, single-page web applications using a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Experience working with REST APIs and back-end services
  • Experience working with enterprise systems, including data-driven applications and service integrations (e.g., ITSM platforms, geospatial data services)
  • Experience building or supporting interactive data visualization features using libraries such as D3.js or ArcGIS API for JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and user-centered design
  • Experience developing accessible web applications in compliance with Section 508 standards
  • Familiarity with modern front-end development tools, including package managers (npm/yarn), build tools (Webpack/Vite), and Git version control
Desired
  • Certifications in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) or web accessibility (e.g., DHS Trusted Tester)
