Job description


INTERNSHIP DETAILS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand and apply problem solving, root cause analysis, and solution validation.
  • Assist in developing knowledge capture systems.
  • Conduct employee interviews and job-shadowing activities.
  • Capture critical institutional knowledge.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Understand auditing and compliance aspects of tasks.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Review, update, and digitize documentation.
  • Create and deliver presentations summarizing what was learned, how it was applied, and any results.
  • The Intern will be assigned a Coach and Mentor to guide them through their experience.
  • The Intern will be assigned a project which will be presented to Black Box Management at the conclusion of the Internship.
  • Documentation review, update, and digitization.
  • Additional duties as assigned

TRAINING OVERVIEW:
  • Opportunities to learn about different areas of the business.
  • On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor/supervisor.
  • Individual and group projects
  • Roundtables with leadership.
  • Present outs to TPS Leadership and stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate (Rising Senior) or Graduate in one of the following majors: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations, Organizational Leadership, or similar course of study
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and sound interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure products and applications a plus

SCHEDULE:
  • Monday through Friday with flexibility, not to exceed 25 hours/week
  • Location: This position will be on-site in Lawrence; PA. Intern will need reliable transportation.
