Moss is a national privately held construction firm providing innovative solutions resulting in award-winning projects. With regional offices across the United States, Moss focuses on construction management, solar EPC, and design-build. The company's diverse portfolio encompasses a wide range of sectors, including luxury high-rise residential, landmark mixed-use developments, hospitality, K-12 and higher education, justice, solar energy and battery storage, and sports. Moss is ranked by Engineering News-Record as the nation's top solar contractor and one of the top 50 general contractors. Moss prides itself on a strong entrepreneurial culture that honors safety, quality, client engagement, and employee development. Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.
POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Campus Recruiter is Moss's primary boots-on-the-ground presence at universities across the country, responsible for building and sustaining the talent pipeline that fuels the company's internship and early career programs. This role owns full-cycle campus recruiting enterprise-wide - from first career fair interaction through offer acceptance - and serves as a key connector between university relationships, candidate experience, and intern conversion outcomes.
This is a high-volume, high-mobility role that operates with significant autonomy during two peak recruiting seasons. The Campus Recruiter reports directly to the Senior Manager, Talent Development and works in close partnership with the Early Career team to ensure a seamless experience from campus to cohort.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise Campus Recruiting
  • Serve as the enterprise-wide campus recruiter for MOSS's internship and early career programs, managing high-volume recruiting activity across all sectors and regions
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle for campus candidates - from sourcing and screening to interview coordination, offer extension, and acceptance
  • Manage referral pipelines and candidate progressions within Workday, ensuring accurate and up-to-date tracking at all stages

University Relations & Brand Presence
  • Represent MOSS as a primary brand ambassador at career fairs and campus events annually across peak recruiting seasons
  • Build and maintain relationships with university career services offices, faculty, student organizations, and academic program leads
  • Partner with the team to support strategic university relationships, including institutions aligned with MOSS's Building Futures initiative

Intern Conversion & Pipeline Health
  • Support the intern-to-full-time conversion process in collaboration with the team and business leaders
  • Maintain real-time visibility into pipeline health, conversion data, and offer outcomes, sharing regular updates with leadership
  • Partner on return-offer strategy to maximize conversion rates across internship cohorts

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Align campus recruiting cycles with projected workforce needs in partnership with regional business leaders and hiring managers
  • Coordinate interview logistics, scheduling, and candidate communication across all active requisitions

Event Logistics & Operations
  • Manage all logistics for career fair participation, including materials, shipping, and event-day execution
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready recruiting records and documentation in compliance with company standards
  • Track and report on recruiting metrics including pipeline volume, offer acceptance rates, and event ROI

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • 2-4 years of experience in campus recruiting, talent acquisition, or early career programs
  • Demonstrated track record in high-volume, full-cycle recruiting environments
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or a project-based industry is a plus
  • Strong relationship-building skills with university partners, candidates, and internal stakeholders
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple recruiting cycles simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable representing MOSS with candidates, university officials, and senior leadership
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems; Workday highly preferred
  • Data-oriented with the ability to track and communicate pipeline metrics clearly
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating with autonomy during peak recruiting seasons
  • 40% travel required, with concentration during fall and spring campus recruiting seasons
