  • Work closely with developers to implement technical recommendations.
Local SEO & Content
  • Develop local SEO strategies focused on Google Business Profiles, citation consistency, and location page optimization.
  • Build content strategies that support both traditional search and AI driven search experiences while strengthening E-E-A-T signals.
Product Development and R&D
  • Work with our product and engineering teams to be at the forefront of automating and improving the ROI of what we deliver to our customers
Leadership
  • Mentor SEO team members and establish best practices across the department.
  • Improve internal processes, documentation, and reporting standards.
  • Help shape the future direction of our SEO services.

  • 7+ years of SEO experience with strong technical SEO expertise.
  • Experience leading SEO strategy for multiple clients or brands.
  • Advanced proficiency with Ahrefs and Google Search Console.
  • Experience with Screaming Frog, GA4, and Looker Studio.
  • Comfortable reading HTML and basic PHP.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, schema, internal linking, site architecture, local SEO, and Google Business Profiles.
  • Knowledge of AI Overviews, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and modern search trends.
  • Exceptional communication and client presentation skills.
Preferred

  • Experience with BrightLocal or Whitespark.
Success in This Role
The ideal Director of SEO is curious, analytical, and constantly learning. They combine technical expertise with strategic thinking, prioritize work based on business impact, and help clients win in increasingly competitive search environments.
