Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Design structural components required for project development
  • Perform wood and steel structural calculations for commercial and residential projects
  • Perform reinforced concrete calculations for slabs, spread footings, retaining walls, and related elements
  • Interpret and apply national codes and standards, including IRC, IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Stay current with engineering processes, techniques, IMS, and industry standards
  • Apply effective engineering methods and design techniques
  • Resolve project issues and technical problems
  • Provide technical guidance to team members
  • Support a cooperative and team-focused work environment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience
7+ years of residential and commercial engineering experience
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of IRC, IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC; proficiency with analytical software, AutoCAD, RISA, and Microsoft Office Suite
Soft Skills
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing assignments
