Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a variety of mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to clients seeking tools for stress management and emotional balance.
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify the unique stressors and goals of clients, customizing mindfulness practices to their individual needs.
  • Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation sessions, and breathing techniques, fostering self-awareness and emotional regulation.
  • Facilitate interactive group workshops, focusing on mindfulness, stress management, and resilience-building strategies, creating a peer-support environment.
  • Incorporate mindfulness techniques into individual therapy sessions to address and alleviate specific mental health concerns, enhancing overall client progress.
  • Collaborate with fellow therapists and integrated healthcare providers to ensure a multifaceted approach to client wellness.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and mindfulness interventions to support continuity of care and track therapeutic outcomes.
  • Engage in your personal mindfulness practice, reflection, and ongoing professional development, enriching your skills in MBSR and other therapeutic modalities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, and interpersonal relationship issues. Our clients value a compassionate approach to therapy and are open to learning mindfulness techniques that enhance their mental health and life satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or LCMFT in Maryland.
  • Strong foundation in therapeutic principles and practices to effectively engage with clients in a virtual setting.
  • Proficiency in mindfulness-based approaches, with a focus on integrating these methods into therapeutic sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment for clients.
Preferred Experience
