Job Title: Power Systems EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with robust experience in medium-voltage power systems to support the design and development of complex power generation, distribution, and protection systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system-level design decisions, integrating multiple electrical components and subsystems, and ensuring compliance with safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements. A thorough understanding of medium-voltage equipment as a complete system is essential, along with the ability to evaluate electrical architectures beyond individual circuit designs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop system-level electrical architectures for medium-voltage power systems.
  • Design and integrate power distribution, protection, switchgear, transformer, and control system solutions.
  • Evaluate interactions of electrical components, protective devices, and subsystems within larger power systems.
  • Support medium-voltage product development from concept through validation and release.
  • Perform electrical system studies including short-circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash analysis.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Select and size major electrical components balancing performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to address complex power system challenges.
  • Support testing, validation, and implementation of new electrical system designs.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in medium-voltage systems-level design.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems design, particularly for medium-voltage applications.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution, protection, and power system architecture.
  • Knowledge of medium-voltage safety, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Experience in evaluating protection schemes and electrical system performance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience designing medium-voltage electrical systems (11,000 volts or higher).
  • Capability to understand and integrate multiple electrical systems and components in a complete solution.
