Ingevity of Waynesboro, Ga., is a leading manufacturer of activated carbon honeycombs used in the air purification and automotive industries. We are located approximately 30 minutes south of Augusta, Ga.

Why you want to work for us:

  • Progressed pay:Starting hourly rate of $19.12 which increases to $20.47 after successful completion of 90 day training period and completion and submission of completed orientation checklist. Additional increase after each qualification.
  • Structured overtime:Dupont Schedule - Rotating 36-hour and 48-hour work weeks allow for eight hours of structured overtime every other week.
  • Free time:Seven consecutive days off when working 14 days in a 28-day period.
  • Vacation time:Over 80 hours vacation leave per year, ninepaid holidays and five floating holidays, prorated based on hire date. Time and a half pay for scheduled holiday work.
  • Benefits package:Competitive medical, prescription, dental, vision, short-term medical, long-term disability, life/AD&D insurance, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and a 401(k) plan with match contribution and free 3% company contribution each pay period.
  • Bonus package:Eligible to receive a production bonus once a year.
  • Career advancement:Promotability to higher levels depending on qualifications in several operational areas of the plant.

How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Operate production line machinery and/or computers.
  • Troubleshoot production line machinery.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Clean and maintain work station and follow all safety and company policies.
  • Keep track of parts and materials and refill bins needed to perform duties.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies as needed

What you need to succeed:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience required and 2 years preferred or two years of equivalent college training/technical certification.
  • Possess a high level of technical aptitude with the ability to learn and multi-task.
  • Experience using various power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
  • Technical knowledge to operate equipment.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include rotating shifts - days / nights. Must be able to work weekends as production schedule increases by clients.
  • Must be able to work a 12 hour shift while standing most of the time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when performing job tasks.
  • Must be able to learn and drive forklift
  • Must be able to report to work on time and have reliable transportation.

Wonderlic Assessment required in the following categories: A minimum score of 45.

Shift work plus availability for overtime will be required. The hiring process includes Wonderlic testing, drug screen, criminal background check, and physical prior to hire.
