Job description

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities for the operations of the bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) boiler
  • Coordinates all activities on site
  • Oversees system start-ups and shut downs
  • Monitors and adjusts the equipmentWorks with integrated controls - programmable logic controls (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), etc
  • Understands combustion theory applications and works comfortable with proportional integral derivative (PID) instrument loops and emission control systems
  • Conducts boiler water chemistry analysis and daily system walk down
  • Directs and monitors shift team work in accordance with safety and productivity goals
  • Routine use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Power Point

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
4 year college degree or military preferred
Minimum of 7 years experience in power plant and control room operations
Experience with boiler water chemistry analysis
Solid fuel firing a plus
Heavy equipment experience a plus
