Job description

Job Title: Point of Care Coordinator
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Salary: 30-40/hr
Position Summary: We are looking for a Point of Care Coordinator to oversee and manage the point-of-care testing and quality assurance processes within our facility. This role ensures that all testing complies with regulatory standards and supports the overall clinical laboratory operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze proficiency testing samples to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Review proficiency testing and quality assurance results, collaborating with departments to develop corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Maintain and complete all required documentation related to quality assurance and point-of-care testing records.
  • Monitor the status of accreditation agency licenses and assist the department director in preparing licensing and renewal paperwork (e.g., CAP, CLIA, AHCA, business license).
  • Prepare annual assessments of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory compliance under the direction of the department director.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of point-of-care testing equipment to meet facility service needs.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, focusing on quality assurance and/or point-of-care testing.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred.
  • State of Florida Technologist License or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
  • State of Florida Supervisor's License is required.
  • No travel required.
