Description
CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (Pediatric RN) to provide full-time services at the 61st Medical Squadron located at Los Angeles Air Force Base. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse to support our military members and their families as a federal civilian contractor.
Position Details:
  • Pay: $55.00/hour + $4.93/hour for health and wellness
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Sick Leave
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 0700-1600
  • Contract Length: 1 Year Preferred (with opportunity to extend)

Pediatric Registered Nurse (Pediatric RN) Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive pediatric nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Coordinate patient care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all standards of care, policies, and procedures within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
  • Conduct physical exams and health histories for pediatric patients.
  • Provide health promotion, counseling, and education tailored to pediatric needs.
  • Triage and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions per established guidelines.
  • Administer medications, wound care, and other pediatric-specific interventions.
  • Prepare and administer vaccinations for pediatric patients according to MTF protocols.
  • Supervise and direct care provided by other healthcare professionals.
  • Assign patient care based on scope of practice and skill level.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to adverse signs and emergency situations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

Pediatric Registered Nurse Qualifications:
  • BSN Degree required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Active, unrestricted nursing license
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred

Position Requirements
License: Shall possess a current, active, full and unrestricted Registered Nurses (RN) licensed in Colorado compact state from any United States jurisdiction.
Education: Registered nurse shall have successfully completed a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from a National League of Nursing or from an American Academy College of Nursing accredited college or university Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN) acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General.
Experience: Registered Nurse - Women's Health: Shall have a minimum of 24 months within the past 36 months of clinical practice experience.
Certification: Must possess current American Health Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) card for Healthcare Providers.
