The Georgia Department of Human Services, Office of Human Resources is currently seeking professional individuals to work in a customer-focused work environment. Under the supervision of the HR Workforce Analyst Supervisor, the HR Workforce Analyst is a member of a centralized team serving as HR Workforce Analysts providing efficiency and coordination of HR related activities on behalf of the Department of Human Services (DHS). The HR Workforce Analyst is responsible for a variety of data management functions. The position works one-on-one with the HR Workforce Analyst Supervisor and Senior Manager and interact with DHS Leadership and a team of professionals from other business units within the agency. This role requires a high level of customer service with exemplary organizational skills and detail oriented.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and facilities high volume personnel requests serving as HR Workforce Analyst.
  • Facilitates onboarding and offboarding activities in collaboration with DHS business partners.
  • Provide consultation and advisement to managers regarding policies, practices, and protocols.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality to very sensitive personnel records and information.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes programmatic and operational data.
  • Publishes summaries, reports, and trend analyses, as requested.

  • Enters data from forms, records and/or reports and codes information appropriately.
  • Evaluates data for quality and completeness.
  • Designs reports, slide shows, and tables using standard office software.
  • Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in communication, English, or public relations from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment;

OR
  • One (1) year of experience required at the lower level Business Support Analyst 1 (GSP130).

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following education/skills/experience:
  • Bachelor's degree AND Two (2) years of experience with data collection, tracking, monitoring, and analysis OR six (6) years of experience with data collection, tracking, monitoring, and analysis.
  • A minimum of Two (2) years working knowledge and/or direct experience in human resource policies and practices.
  • A minimum of One (1) year of experience processing transactions in Workday is preferred.

Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
