DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY The Revenue Cycle Management Intern supports the Revenue Operations team with project-based and administrative tasks related to the end-to-end revenue cycle. Responsibilities include assisting with medical record tracking and routing to billing vendors, supporting data validation and reconciliation efforts, and contributing to process improvement initiatives within billing, coding, and collections workflows. This role provides hands-on exposure to healthcare revenue cycle functions, reporting, and operational efficiencies. The RCM Intern reports to the Revenue Cycle Specialist.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education & Qualifications:Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of at least freshman year of college required; coursework in healthcare administration, finance, business, or a related field preferred.
Licensure & Certifications: NA
Previous Experience: Intermediate Excel knowledge required. Exposure to healthcare revenue cycle, billing, or administrative functions preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy in data handling; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and financial information is required.
Computer Skills: Intermediate MS Excel skills required (e.g., formulas, data organization, basic analysis). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general comfort using business systems, laptops, and mobile devices required.

Work Environment: Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment in adherence with HIPPA-Compliant office for Healthcare workers. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
OSHA Classification Job Classification III: Position has no occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
JOB SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS- Assist with tracking, organizing, and transferring medical records to internal teams and external billing vendors
- Support data entry, validation, and reconciliation activities across revenue cycle systems
- Participate in RCM project work, including process mapping, data cleanup, and reporting support
- Help identify inefficiencies and support process improvement initiatives within billing and collections workflows
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support revenue cycle operations as needed
- Perform general administrative duties and other tasks as assigned
