Job description

The Marketing Internship is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in branding, digital marketing, and graphic design. Candidates will utilize their experience to complete various marketing projects which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills. Varney & Associates Marketing intern will transform the technical knowledge of public accounting into marketing and branding strategies for the firm.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop brand messaging, social media strategies, and content schedules to consistently improve social media presence, Facebook, LinkedIn.
  • Create and implement engaging creative concepts across multiple platforms utilizing design programs.
  • Manage and create engaging content for social media platforms to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Create targeted email campaigns and monthly newsletters using Mailchimp.
  • Design flyers, graphics, and other marketing materials to support company branding and enhance promotional efforts.
  • Maintain and enhance the company website by updating relevant information,
  • Assist with implementing SEO strategies and redesigning web pages to improve user experience and engagement.
  • Conduct market research to collaborate with staff on new ideas and directions for marketing and communications.
  • Work across functions and departments to bring our product to life.
  • Assist with brand messaging, research website rebranding and upgrade needs.
  • Strengthen the organization's overall brand.

Essential Functions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
