MHK Tech Inc is a company seeking a Computer System Administrator. The primary responsibility of this role includes configuring and managing PEGA applications and servers, providing technical support, and ensuring system performance and security.
Responsibilities:
• CONFIGURE ODBC DRIVERS.
• INSTALL AND CONFIGURE PEGA UPGRADES.
• INSTALL, CONFIGURE, AND CLUSTER AND ADMINISTER PEGA APP SERVER.
• TROUBLESHOOT PEGA SERVER RELATED ISSUES WITH PEGA APP TEAM.
• PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO ENGINEERS PRIORITIZE AND MANAGE THE WORKFLOW.
• COORDINATE WITH PEGA APP TEAM, RELEASE MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR THE CODE DEPLOYMENT TO ALL ENVIRONMENTS.
• MIGRATE THE APPLICATIONS TO THE APPROPRIATE TOMCAT VERSION IN THE NEW ENVIRONMENT.
• PERFORM CONFIGURATION OF JVM, GROUP, AND USER ADMINISTRATION.
• INSTALL AND MAINTAIN NEW VERSIONS OF TOMCAT INCLUDING ADDITIONAL INSTANCES FOR SCALING AND FAIL OVER.
• WORK WITH JVM EXPERIENCE AND SMA (SYSTEM MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATOR) TOOL.
• WORK ON PERFORMANCE TUNING (PAL, LOG ANALYZER, DB TRACER/ PREFLIGHT).
• SUPPORT ONGOING DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING ACTIVITIES, IDENTIFY POTENTIAL AREA OF IMPROVEMENTS, IMPLEMENT SUCH CHANGES AND MAINTAIN SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONS, PERFORM RECURRING PATCH MANAGEMENT TO MAINTAIN SYSTEMS WITHIN CLIENT DEFINED GUIDELINES.
• MANAGE VIRTUAL SERVERS RUNNING RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX.
