Job description

IT/OT System Administrator - Linux Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and systems across IT and OT networks.
  • Perform system upgrades, apply security patches, and maintain firmware on physical and virtual servers.
  • Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system errors to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and SCADA/ICS teams to ensure stable and secure IT/OT operations.
  • Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage user access controls and enforce cybersecurity policies.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and restore processes for all critical systems.
  • Provide remote and on-site support for plant and field locations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS) and Microsoft Windows Server systems.
  • Strong command-line skills and experience with shell scripting (e.g., Bash or PowerShell).
  • Proficiency in system monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Understanding of IT/OT environments, including SCADA and industrial control systems.
