The Communications Intern will be a key contributor to enterprise-level internal and external communications efforts across a global company. This role offers hands-on experience across a broad range of channels, formats, and audiences, from employee engagement to enterprise storytelling to external visibility.
The intern will work closely with experienced communications professionals and cross-functional partners, and should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, pivoting gracefully between channels, and contributing meaningfully to initiatives that connect and engage employees and external audiences.
About the role
Internal Communication and Employee relation:
  • Support the creation, editing, and execution of internal communications, including: Enterprise emails and newsletters, Intranet and SharePoint content, Presentation materials, HQ digital monitor content and internal campaigns
  • Assist with content planning, formatting, scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Help bring stories to life through thoughtful writing, graphics, and visual storytelling
  • Assist with logistical and communications support for: Town halls and leadership meetings, Live and streamed events (e.g., Microsoft Teams Webinars)
  • Support Outlook event setup, invitations, run-of-show documentation, and post-event follow-ups
  • Help gather metrics and insights to inform future events

External Communications & Media Engagement
  • Support external corporate culture storytelling efforts, including: Social media content planning, creation, publishing, and monitoring, Press releases, awards submissions, and media materials
  • Assist with community management on social platforms, responding to comments and messages as appropriate
  • Help ensure consistency with brand guidelines and communications strategy across channels
  • Support analytics tracking and reporting to help measure engagement and effectiveness

Community Impact & Corporate Responsibility
  • Support communications related to: Corporate volunteerism and donation programs, Community partnerships and sponsorships, Collaboration with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Assist with screening internal sponsorship and donation requests
  • Help capture and share impact stories through event recaps, and internal/external content generation
  • Support planning and execution of community-impact events and initiatives

About you:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or a recent graduate in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with or strong aptitude for design and visual content creation (platforms like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro, a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively
  • Curious, proactive, detail oriented, and eager to learn

Preferred:
Exposure to or experience with:
  • Social media management tools (Sprout Social)
  • SharePoint or intranet content management
  • Live streaming video event tools (Microsoft Teams / Microsoft Webinar / Microsoft Town Hall)
  • Communications or marketing KPIs and analytics
  • Media distribution platforms (Business Wire)
  • HubSpot or similar internal email platform tools
  • Interest in corporate communications, storytelling, branding, or community engagement
